Weather radar station OWARNA
360° solar integration under extreme high alpine conditions: The weather radar station OWARNA (Optimization of Warning and Alerting) is located on the Pointe de la Plaine Morte, above Crans-Montana, at 2,922 meters above sea level.
The 16 mm thick glass-glass solar laminates were specially developed for use under permanent wind loads and extreme temperatures - the most robust product from Megasol at the time. Another special feature is the 360° design of the modules with a module inclination of 75 degrees. The system produces approx. 9000 kWh, which corresponds to the energy requirements of two detached houses.
